THE BEATITUDES OF JESUS CHRIST

The beatitudes are a code of ethics and conduct for all believers in that they contrast the values of the eternal kingdom with the temporary values of the kingdom of the world. They imply the blessings reserved for those who will enter the kingdom of God. Taken together, they describe the happiness that presupposes hope and inner joy, deep realities, independent of external circumstances.
