Résumé
This book depicts the instability and conditions of war in Africa. The medium of this book are Violence and Heroes by the Nigerian writer Festus Iyayi. The aim of this analysis is to study the signs of a decaying society throughout these two novels. This is tantamount to raising the general problem of the relations between the fiction writer and the society he depicts. The socio-critical approach as an analytical instrument of literary productions suggests that those relations are not only obvious but also essential since the novel can be considered as the reflection of a society in a given time. In that trajectory, this book will develop the theme of war and decay with regard to Festus Iyayi's works and to others dealing with Nigerian literature.
